Chicago has been very nice to me except the other day when the temperature dipped down into the 30’s and I felt the wind kick my butt. But I can’t complain because I said I was looking forward to my first Chicago winter in my first blog.  Thankfully, my coat arrived that day.  People keep telling me, “this is nothing, get back to me in January.”  I can’t wait to rock my fur coat everyday.  And yes, I said fur, PETA people, don’t mess with me!

Despite the cold snap, I received a warm welcome at the Chicago Urban League Golden Fellowship Dinner. I co-hosted with actor Harry Lennix.  My trainer even let me go off my diet for that one night.  Thank goodness, the chocolate mousse cake was well worth the tummy ache I had later on.  Man, was it rich. The dinner was an elegant affair and I have so much respect for Cheryle Jackson, President and CEO.  She shatters the stereotype of what a CEO can be, stiff and unapproachable and male.  She is warm and beautiful and was a vision in long, red velvet gown.  After I came home, I did fifty crunches in honor of her flat abs.

If you want to see my progress on my workout routine, I have another slideshow coming up on Monday.

The past week on our show was exciting.  How much fun was it to twirl a baton with Regina King?  Too much fun.  Who knew either of us could twirl a baton?  My secret is out, and so is Regina’s.  Ereka Vetrini read that she could twirl a baton in her bio, called me the night before, and I arranged for the producers to get those batons on the set.  Sadly, they were not regulation batons, but I think Regina and I got down. Oooh, Leslie David Baker, from “The Office.” You know, Stanley.  He rocks.  He was so sweet and funny backstage and we all fawned all over him because “The Office” is a favorite show for Ereka, Bill and me.  Believe it or not, I have a secret crush on Peter Greenberg, the Travel Detective, because he is soooo funny and has good information and I just imagine myself being upgraded wherever we go, if I were to hang out with him.  And my other secret crush is Fonzworth Bentley.  That brother is so stylish and I admire how he has expanded his career from being Diddy’s umbrella holder to author and producer and more.

Alright, you guys, see ya in a week or so.  Happy Thanksgiving, I know I won’t have one because I’m on a DIET!

Hi Kim,

Have you posted your diet journal on line? For those of us who are also dieting, I think your journal would be a great motivational tool.

Best Wishes,

Hello Kim,
First I want to tell you how much I enjoy seeing you on tv again. I enjoyed you on LIving Single.
This may be a strange comment..but I have been an advocate on thyroid health and have become really aware of people who may having a thyroid issue (this is the same malady that Oprah has recently announced). The symptoms are subtle and one of the key ways to notice one of the symptoms is looking at pictures or videos. Maybe I am wrong.. but I noticed a slight swelling of your neck.. where your thyroid is located. I know this is weird, but I just wanted to tell you.. you may want to ask your doctor about a thyroid test. I have become an advocate on thyroid health. You may not notice but the camera and film picks up the suble changes.
Anyway,, welcome to Chicago. And I hope you enjoy Chicago.

Girl! You da bomb! Okay, you 3 are great. But it is because of YOU I enjoy watching so damn much. That's right girl! You've been making me laugh my butt off for so many years now. With that, I wish you continued success and I hope everyone out there continues to watch and they better too because then that would mean keeping you on the air for as long as possible... ya hear?! ;-) Peace out!

I caught the sold today. It was very informative. Especially, the info from the doctors.

Please have more of those.

Another informative segment would be one on real estate in the local area. Please contact me if you feel that would interest your viewers at snorbrown@yahoo.com or 219 803 4489. I think, the view of the market from several realtors in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.
